Upon arriving in Algiers, the capital of Algeria, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the city, depending on your arrival time. Algiers is rich in history and culture, with its blend of ancient and modern architecture.

Flight to Djanet

At 19:30, the group will meet at the Algiers Airport to board the 23:00 flight to Djanet, a remote town on the edge of the Sahara. Upon arrival at 00:45, our local Tuareg team will greet you and transfer you to the first desert camp, where you’ll spend your first night under the Saharan stars.

Local Breakfast and 4x4 Adventure

After a peaceful night's rest, wake up to a traditional local breakfast, full of fresh, authentic flavors. The adventure kicks off with a 4x4 journey into the Tadrart Rouge, starting at the plateau of IMAHARHATEN.

Exploration of Saharan Landscapes and Rock Engravings

As we traverse the desert, the landscape transforms, revealing vast stretches of sand, dotted with ancient rock formations. The site of TISSETTEKA offers stunning rock engravings, and TIN-ABADENE showcases depictions of animals that once thrived here.

Overnight Bivouac at EL BIRDJ

We’ll set up camp at EL BIRDJ, where you'll enjoy a lively evening with dinner and local entertainment under the stars.

Visiting Ancient Petroglyphs

Our journey continues through the immense IN-DJAREN Canyon, where ancient petroglyphs line the canyon walls, telling stories of a time long past.

The Majestic Arches of TEHETAHOUSSAITE

This day also features a visit to the natural arches of TEHETAHOUSSAITE, a stunning natural wonder.

Sunset Among the Dunes at MOUL N'AGA

The day ends at MOUL N'AGA, where the red dunes glow at sunset, providing the perfect backdrop for another night in the desert.

TIN-MERZOUGA is often compared to a Martian landscape, with its red sand dunes and surreal rock formations. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to climb the highest dune and take in the expansive view of the desert.

The dunes at ADJALATI are a photographer’s dream, with their shifting colors and unique shapes. Today’s journey includes a visit to ancient rock engravings and another night camping under the stars.

IMESNEGHA is a land of surreal sandstone formations and narrow grottos. These mushroom-shaped rocks and carved grottos were formed by wind and water erosion over millennia. This final day of exploration will leave you with memories that last a lifetime.

On your final day, we’ll return to Djanet, stopping at TEGHARGHART to see the famous "Crying Cow" rock engraving. This poignant artwork reflects the environmental changes that have shaped the Sahara over thousands of years.
